Privacy Policy
Overview
Lume is designed to be completely private. The app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data you enter into Lume stays on your device.
Data collection
Lume collects no personal data. Specifically:
- No account or registration is required to use the app.
- No analytics or usage tracking is implemented.
- No crash reporting is sent to any server.
- No advertising identifiers are used.
- No third-party SDKs that collect data are included.
Local storage
All financial data you enter — including income, expenses, account balances, and settings — is stored exclusively in your Mac's local storage (via the app sandbox). This data is never transmitted anywhere.
Network access
Lume makes outbound network requests solely to fetch live market prices for investment holdings (via Yahoo Finance). These requests contain only ticker symbols (e.g. "VWCE.DE") and no personal information. This feature is optional — the app functions fully without an internet connection.
Data export
Lume allows you to export your data as a CSV or JSON file at any time. These exports are stored locally on your Mac and are never transmitted by the app.
Children's privacy
Lume does not collect any data from any users, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL. Given the nature of the app — no data collection — material changes are unlikely.
